โ€˜A huge thank you is due to all those who helped make our Ladies Day and Sevens Hospitality Lunch such a great success. None more so than John Fordyce from The Borders Distillery our tournament sponsor and Sandi Spence from Eden Boutique, who together with โ€˜TBDโ€™ co-sponsored Ladies Day.
Thanks are due once again for making our Ladies Day a fabulous success, to Lauren (and Kendra) Grant, who this season were joined by Caroline Wilson. The effort and hours these three put into the preparation and promotion of the event were huge, and made for a wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable spectacle on the day.
To Scotland forwards coach John Dalziel our guest speaker, and newly appointed British & Irish Lions forwards coach, together with our own Scott Mcleod for their insightful and entertaining Q&A at our lunch, a huge thank you is due.
Also to Debbie Brown and her catering team for a superb carvery lunch, picnic boxes and finger buffet for our events. Thanks to Lindsey Girvan and her bar staff a huge thanks for their work on keeping everyone well watered.
To all our team sponsors, ball sponsors, program advertisers, prize donators, and event sponsors thank you for your kindness, your generosity is greatly appreciated.
To all the services, caterers and entertainers who helped us put on the day-
Best Intent Marqueeโ€™s, Scott Mitchell/Soundwaves Pro Audio, Charters Electricians, Hillyโ€™s Bonkers Bingo, Nick Macari Catering, DJ Prince Carsane, Richardson & Son Printers, Hamish Smith Jewellers, Michael Wares Cater Hire, Jacqui McFadden & Co, Hendersonโ€™s Travel, Teviot Wines, Flower Studio by Natalia, and Karen Gateson@Casteye. We couldnโ€™t have done this without you.
Also to all those on our committee, who gave of their time to help make the day run smoothly, together with our wonderful volunteer team, thank you for your commitment and effort.
To Alan Forrest and his team of officials thank you for ensuring the tournament ran smoothly.
Once again the Borders Clan under the watchful eye of Gary Murdie & Keith Scott entertained the crowd between the semi final & Final and we are grateful to them all for putting in a great show. Enjoy your tour to Ireland guys.
Finally to all our hospitality guests, a sincere thank you for supporting the club and making both of our hospitality events the wonderful success they were. Last but by no means least, thank you to Craigie Smith Chairman of Paramata-Plimmerton Rugby Club in New Zealand who joined us as the guest of Sevens Convenor Malcolm Grant. Craigie pictured above with Malcolm and daughter Lauren presented the club with a Para-Plim jersey as a keepsake and thank you for the day.
