Following an announcement from SRU HQ this morning that further retrospective caps have been awarded to 18 recipients, Hawick RFC are delighted to announce that 4 more Robbie Dyes are now included on the clubs Scotland Internationalists role of honour.

After liaising with the Maltman family the SRU confirmed that both James Maltman (1942) and bother Donald Maltman (#1198) in 1943 were both capped for their country playing in services internationals. In the previous round of retrospective awards earlier this year, Donald was deemed eligible however the match program had been incorrect at the time of printing and it was actually his bother James that was capped in 1942 with Donald having to wait until the following year 1943 to wear the thistle.

Wat Davies (#1206) & Bruce White (#1210), were both capped against The Netherlands in October 1975 and Donnie McLeod (#1212), nephew of the great Hugh McLeod, was also capped against the Netherlands in October 1978.

Many congratulations to all the families and connections of those named above, and we will look forward to adding them to our fabulous internationalist wall in the trophy bar at Mansfield Park.
