Hawick Archaeological Society was founded in 1856 and is one of the oldest institutions in the town. It holds a series of monthly lectures in the winter months and as part of the Club's 150th anniversary commemoration past Treasurer and programme compiler former Provost Ron Smith and Mansfield announcer and Rugby Memories stalwart Allan McCredie will give an illustrated talk entitled "150 Years of Rugby in Hawick" on Tuesday 6th February at 7.00 pm in the High School Lecture Theatre. Everybody is welcome. You don't have to be an Archaeological Society member. This should be of great interest to Club members and Ron and Allan would value your support on the night.
