On Wednesday evening 7th February, in a quiet ceremony exactly 150 years to the day since Hawickβs first ever of game played against Langholm, a wreath was laid at the grave of Bob Michie, who led the Greens on that day in 1874, by the current club captain Shawn Muir. Shawn was accompanied to the grave in Wilton Cemetery by President Ian Landles and a number of the clubs Management Committee.
Special thanks for Gillian Patterson at the Flowerpot for preparing the commemorative wreath. Lest we forget.πOn Wednesday evening 7th February, in a quiet ceremony exactly 150 years to the day since Hawickβs first ever of game played against Langholm, a wreath was laid at the grave of Bob Michie, who led the Greens on that day in 1874, by the current club captain Shawn Muir.
