I would like to invite you to our 150th anniversary exhibition members’ open day at the Hawick Museum on Sunday 10 March.

There will be short opening remarks at 2.00 pm and you are welcome to drop by any time before we close at 4.00.

This informal afternoon will give you the opportunity to meet some of the team who put the exhibition together. You will discover how they went about deciding what to put on show and to ask them questions.

You are sure to have a good afternoon out enjoying a wee bit of nostalgia and craic amongst old friends. There is lots to see, some of it seeing the first light of day in many a year having languished unappreciated under the stand or in the attic. These hitherto hidden artefacts have some interesting stories to tell.

There’s lots more to grab your attention such as a reconstruction of the changing room and a chance to take a selfie in the famous green jersey or to play a game of table rugby as well as voting for your favourite player of all time. On a more serious note, there is an interesting collection of historical material and old film footage as well as the chance to pay your respects to the players who gave their lives in the two world wars.
