At the Hawick RFC AGM on Monday evening out going President Ian Landles had the very present duty of conferring  Honorary Life Membership on two great club stalwarts. Ex President John Thorburn and Groundsman David Cranston. Both appointments were warmly received by the assembled membership. John, who has given more than 40 years excellent service on the Hawick committee (over two spells) holding numerous roles within that time, and David, who as well as wearing the Green jersey with distinction through the late 60’s and early 70’s has kept Mansfield Park beautifully manicured for over 30 years, are both throughly deserving recipients.
